Last week, the KingKira Group team proudly came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week, it was truly a special day.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Walter McGuire from Go Cultural Aboriginal Tours & Experiences join us to lead a wonderful Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country.

Incredible Indigenous artist Mel Spillman from Maarakool Art also joined us on the day, guiding the team through the creation of a collaborative artwork that brought everyone together in creativity and storytelling. The finished piece will soon hang proudly in our office.

We shared an incredible bush tucker-inspired lunch, catered by the talented team at All Good Grub. A special thank you to our team member Nicole Bradbury and her family for also bringing in a delicious homemade kangaroo stew and damper — it was a crowd favourite!

It was heartwarming to see so many of our team members’ families join us in the celebration. Moments like these reflect what KingKira is all about, community, culture and family.
