August 1st marked an enormous milestone in KingKira Group‘s journey. Five years ago, KingKira Group and Cleanaway joint venture partnership Pilbara Environmental Services (PES) took on the Fortescue Total Waste Contract as part of their Billion Dollar Opportunities Program. Yesterday, KingKira Group officially took on the renewed contract as a sole entity.
KingKira Group senior managers travelled to all five Fortescue sites to conduct an official handover. They presented our new KingKira staff with welcome packs and a BBQ to celebrate alongside Fortescue representatives. Founder and Director Tammy O’Connor travelled to Solomon, the site where she began her mining career.
We are so proud to have come this far. It is a great achievement for us as once a small business to now have the capability and capacity to take on this task on our own.
